Important tips:
To use the RT830i, you will need to design housing, but this kind of design is usually complicated. The light transmittance and thickness of the housing will affect the lighting/ illumination, which in turn dramatically affects the decoding performance of the scanner. Too dark is not good, and too bright & overexposed is not good either.
So, if your device has enough space, we recommend you use our RT830C: RT830i + Housing =RT830C
But if RT830i is indeed more suitable than RT830C for your device, we suggest you design your housing and refer to RT830C's housing.
Application In Kiosks/ Self-service Terminals In Hospital
Read 1D 2D QR codes for payment, or for result sheet/report sheet printing (scan the Patient number bar code or Hospitalization number bar code or Reservation number bar code and the kiosk print the sheet automatically)
Application in transportation / Bus ticketing system
RT830i can be widely used for the public transportation system. Its high-speed reading and good performance in both usual and dark environments make it welcome for bus ticketing, metro station ticketing, etc.
